Copenhagen 28/4 2019. 33 cl can for Craft Beer Rockstars Hüxstrasse, Lübeck. Very aggressive seagull in maritime get up threatening with a broken bottle on the can.

Pours hazy, milky pale yellow (a bit murky) with a big white head. Settles as very thin layer of foam barely able to cover the surface of the beer and clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense, fruity and acerbic. Light sweetness from exotic fruit soon overcome by a tart, citric odor of unripe berries, fresh grass and Grape fruit. Light notes of fermentation.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter but with a solid sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.

Apart from being very amused by the Steven Seagal joke I find this to be a very nice, but civilized NEIPA.

Pours a hazy orange juice color with fine, soft head.

Smell is juicy with notes of orange sorbet, pineapple and some overripe stonefruit.

Taste is pretty juicy and tropical but with a solid bitterness and a bit of piney resin on the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a nice, quite European take on a NE IPA.
