Copenhagen 9/2 2025. 44 cl can from May, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Black can with the name of the beer in purple letters and with Sudden Death's signature the busted Base Ball mask.
Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow with a small white head. Stable. settles as a hin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a light sweet odor of ripe Stone fruits mingling with a more aggressive citrus scent. Mango and peach. Grapefruit galore. Lemon and Lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry,
A sharp and bitter daydream.

Pours a cloudy, pale golden amber coloration with a medium, frothy head. Smells of quite sweet doughy, biscuity malt and muddled tropical/citrus hops, as well as some distinct herbal, piney accents. Taste is an okay balance of sweet doughy, biscuity malt, and tropical/citrus notes of passion fruit, papaya and grapefruit, as well some rather herbal and piney accents as well. Finishes bittersweet, with a medium bitterness and some tropical and herbal notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While Sudden Death have somewhat improved since they started canning their brews, they are still disappointing to me and I will stop buying them once again. This is too sweet and boozy, with the fruity notes feeling washed out and the herbal/piney notes just a bit too pungent. Simply poorly balanced, their apparent success continues to elude me and probably has a lot more to do with their label design than their beer. I mean, this is okay, don't get me wrong, but I don't pay 6.50€ for okay.
