Pours a hazy, dark orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and citrus/tropical notes of tangerine, passion fruit and papaya, as well as a distinct floral, almost perfumey accent. Taste is a good balance of biscuity malt and fruity, quite floral and slightly grassy and resinous hops, with citrus and tropical notes of tangerine, orange, passion fruit and papaya. Finishes with a very light bitterness and some tangerine and passion fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

As with many TIPAs that are not extremely well done, this is a bit too sweet and boozy for my personal taste, although I've certainly had worse, which also kinda muddles up the hop notes and gives that typical "overripe" character to them that I'm not a huge fan of myself. There's also quite a floral and perfumey presence to this that doesn't do a lot for me, reminiscent of orange blossoms, that I've come to associate with Amarillo hops, while it also really lacks a halfway decent bitterness in the finish, with its only saving grace being some rather mild grassy and resinous notes that provide a little bit of balance here. Overall this makes for a decent TIPA, which is a style that's rarely very well done, but really feels more average than truly memorable, which is kinda a common theme with Sudden Death in my personal experience. Their continued success will never fail to elude me.
