Copenhagen 23/3 2026. 44 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Purple can with Sudden Death's version of Jason with half a hophead as motif.
Pours opaque hazy yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet scent of ripe stone fruits mingling with citrus fruit. Mango and peach. Grapefruit and lime. Pine and resin.
Very light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit viscous, soft, smooth kind of flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
A zesty visit to Eternia. I din not see He-Man or Skeletor anywhere around.

Pours a hazy orange with soft, soapy head.
Smell is fruity, juicy and a bit dank. Notes of peach, citrus, grass and a hint of vanilla.
Taste is fruity and dank with a soft bitterness. Notes of peach, vanilla, meringue, grass and overripe stone fruit. Quite sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium, slighty under carbonated.
Overall, a very nice IPA, a little bit subdued maybe.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and faint hints of tropical and citrus hops, with vague notes of mango, papaya and grapefruit. Taste is a decent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, slightly floral and grassy hops, with feeble notes of mango, papaya and grapefruit. Finishes with a light bitterness and some papaya and grapefruit lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is the perfect example of what Sudden Death are all about in my personal opinion: A very average NEIPA in a can with quite cool and eye-catching label design. I don't know if they extended their best-by date again, but for a supposedly three month-old NEIPA, the hops feel incredibly washed-out and expressionless here, with that certain multivitamin tablet character that I personally don't find particularly enjoyable. Sure, there some decent tropical and lighter citrus notes to this, but they just lack that vibrant juiciness that I expect from a great NEIPA, while also being a bit too grassy and floral for my personal taste. I'm not sure how well suited Triumph hops are for a NEIPA anyway, but in any case, I found this pretty disappointing, like most beers from Sudden Death. I don't know if this is due to age or not, but if a brewery sets 12-month best-by dates for their NEIPAs, they ought to be ashamed of themselves.
