Copenhagen 8/11 2021. 44 cl can from Fish & Beer, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. What looks like a German courtyard with a blinded door in the centre and two red doors on the left and right side of the can. Two jokers on a balcony.
Pours opaque, hazy, pale yellow with a huge white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a gentle, sweet odor of tropical fruit and soap mingling with citric fumes. Peach, mango and pineapple. A fresh bar of hand soap. Citrus and grapefruit.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a pleasant sweet undertone. Finish is semi-dry.
More than decent. But how can a beer need Systemelefant be anything else. An by the way: It is "Elephant"c with an "F".

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical/stone fruit hops, with notes of orange, grapefruit mango and peach. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly dank and resinous hops, with citrus, tropical and lighter stone fruit notes of grapefruit, orange, mango and peach, with hints of grassy weed and resinous pine as well. Finishes with a light/Medium bitterness and some grapefruit, mango and hints of pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a very nice New England IPA with a good and quite varied balance of citrus, tropical and stone fruit notes, as well as some dank and resinous accents. Although I think that the hops could a bit better defined here, the sheer diversity of the flavor profile kinda makes up for that, while I particularly enjoy those light dank, resinous and slightly acidic accents in the finish. The mouthfeel really could be better for the style here, but overall this makes for an enjoyable NEIPA with an interesting and varied flavor profile.
