Copenhagen 19/3 2025. 44 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Black, grey and red can with a roaring Devil.
Pours clear mahogany with a red hue. Mid-sized off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, malty and toasted odor. Touch of Tropical fruits. Citric fumes. Biscuits and toasted bread. Caramel. Grapefruit and Lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Nice toasted yet bitter specimen.
