Split the D! Finally, there's a German alternative to the Irish stout with the famous "G." A smooth, creamy, and chocolatey-toasty stout. Luckily, St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner. But this beer is also very, very good any time of year.

Copenhagen 3/5 2026. 44 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Light beige can in classic beer can design in shades of brown and gold.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. A bit bubbly Settles as a 0,2 cm thick layer of foam unable of covering he surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, lightly roasted malty odor mingling with earthy notes and a light sour, grainy scent. Dark roasted malts, caramel and toffee. Hint of brown sugar and leather.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick. oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sourish streak and a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while, Finish is rather dry.
Not exactly competition for a Guinness but nice enough English Stout.
