Thickly opaque maize gold with a creamy off-white film leaving a solid wall of lace all around the glass.
This one's much more dank, spicy and pungent than the Henry next to it, almost coming off as ruggy, as hints of toffee and graham ground it. A sharper ABV brings to mind triple sec and orange liqueur, as the fuller body has a firm froth before finishing stingingly dry.
---
Three years later, it was rather eye-opening to have this blind at a beer share, as it not only showcased Akronym's consistency, but it also highlighted how solid this NEIPA really is.
There are fewer of the off-notes that I initially detected above, now translating as an almost minty citrus that's pretty juicy before giving way to drying, lightly dank Sweet Tarts.
I'm increasing my 3.88 score.
