Collab with homebrewer Joel Miller.
We jumped at the opportunity to brew with our friend Joel Miller and we scaled up his best-in-show recipe for a German Leichtbier. It’s a simple beer with nothing to hide behind, using German Pilsner and Vienna malts, and just a touch of German hops. We fermented with an expressive and aromatic lager strain that accents the malt character and keeps the body in tact. We perceive fresh baguette and mild baking spices in an extremely crushable beer. Sip or slam this one, either way is right.

Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Head dissipates quickly. Clean malt nose with a hint of grass.
Delicious! Cracker and white bread crust flavor are the stars of the show. Coupled with a nice balance of noble hops -- grass and floral notes -- this finishes crisp and clean. Carbonation punches in the finish. Tons of flavor. Very easy to crush. Damn good beer.

Amazing beer at 3.9% ABV.
Crystal clear gold with quickly dissipating fizzy white head with no lacing. Looks flat in the glass.
Aroma is a huge improvement over appearance with clean pilsner malty cereal grain character with floral, herbal, spicy hop notes.
Flavor is ridiculously full for the ABV with strong grainy pilsner maltiness showing qualities of breadiness and cereal grain and floral, lightly spicy and grassy hop character. Clean with no yeast flavor/fruitiness or off-flavors.
Feel is crisp and dry, like a low ABV German pilsner. Carbonation does seem a bit low.
An exceptional lager with clean malt and hop aromas and flavors -- well-crafted simple straightforward and delicious beer.
