Can to stange.
The appearance was a ruddy pink/magenta color topped by a light eggshell white/pink finger's worth of head. Subtle dissipation left a little bit of concave lace.
The aroma had some black currant sweet to tart qualities up front. Subtle barnyard funky wheat with an even more subtle sour to semi-lemony whiff. Some saltiness.
The flavor was a wonderful meshing of sweet black currants, sweet but "sour-ed" wheat like a good gose should have. Some saltiness. Nice funky to black currant to a crisp wheaty bite in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation. Nice wheaty sour-ness/crisp clean tart quickness. Finishes crisp with that warranted wheaty bite, that's what I really want in this style!
Overall, wow! This is probably one of the best true to style fruited goses I've had to date! So much "real" gose-ness going on yet also allowing brewer creativity to make this one quite unique.
