You Look Familiar
Amber Ox Public House

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a dark amber color and a mostly hazy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.

S: A solid aroma of hops, pine, malt, and citrus fruit.

T: Tasted of some malt (more than expected, but still a subtle ingredient), a good shot of hops (the dominant force, but not overdone), some pine notes (just enough to make things interesting), and a fair amount of citrus fruit (orange and grapefruit, especially). This is a solidly old-fashioned flavor, more hoppy than fruity. Well-balanced and pretty tasty.

F: A decent amount of carbonation with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A well done throwback beer that's less concerned with fruit than with hops. Worth a look.
