8 ball black with a tall, dark tan head.

Toasty and nutty, it's kind of peanut shell without the peanutty dominance, paired with an almost a fruity coffee.

It's an overall light-bodied ale, and almost like a brown.

 

 

 

 

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a quarter finger, dark khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, coffee and bakers chocolate. Flavor is dark toasted malt, coffee, milk chocolate and light lactose. Lingering coffee finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A coffee forward milk stout. The base stout has a pleasant lactose character to style. There is light, but pleasant chocolate notes with authentic tasting coffee flavors, which are the ultimate, lasting flavor. Nothing stands out, but good support for the coffee. Tastes like a quality coffee is used here. I suspect this one might keep me awake.
