There must be another way to convey that the brew within is an American IPA with loads of stanky character. The name they chose makes me not want to drink it. Stanky leg?
It pours scary - more dirty than yellow. It's very cloudy, but not like a hazy IPA (New England on BA). I was thinking about adding it to BA as "hazy," but Dankhouse calls it American IPA. The aroma comes over strong and wild - a bunch of finishing hops are strong in the aroma. The taste is pretty thick with hops and more hops on top of great malts. It has enough going on that more malts would have worked too. It has a medium mouthfeel considering the heavy hops treatment. It's an excellent brew and presented freshly by my usual vendor, Saveon - the can was about two weeks old when I bought it. A little pricey at $5.16 for a pint can.
Recommended. I would buy this again especially if I found it super fresh like this. I'm taking a look at the map and man, they are in a weird location, but who knows, I could get there some day. It's not that far from New Albany, where I regularly find myself.
