16oz can. Stamped on can bottom is 'PEACE AND DANK YOU 03/10/2022 ARE YOU DOWN?'.
Bright yellow colored body, with a total murk appearance. Thin finger of off white head, which settles back to a bubbly cap. Partial layers of lacing.
Aroma of bubble gum, with the fruit components being banana and citrus (kiwi). Smells totally sweet.
Taste has the sour dominating over the sweet. Big citrus (kiwi) flavor, with lesser banana (which is fruit sweet). The tartness stays longer and lingers in the aftertaste.
Rather thick mouth feel, which is a juxtaposition to the dryness from the kettle sour. Coating stays on the tongue and sides of the mouth. Good carbonation.
This is a kettle sour with additional components that add a cake-like sweetness and thicker body. The overall effect works okay, and there is not a great clash that would lead to an unbalanced brew. The tart flavors are not foretold by the nose (which is more cake-like).
