New England style IPA, brewed with Citra, El Dorado and Mosaic hops.
Nicknamed “Pinks & Greens,” the Army dress uniform during World War II consisted of a dark olive-drab gabardine wool coat with a sewn-on belt, the “Greens,” and light-shade drab trousers, the “Pinks”.
By 1945 the US Army had grown to over 8 million soldiers and fought victoriously in some of the largest and bloodiest campaigns in its history. Patriotism soared at an all time high and the Army was the most revered.
Our head brewer enlisted in the Army shortly after his 18th birthday and proudly continues his service to this day. As the Army considers a return of “Pinks & Greens,” we present this tribute to the sacrifices made by so many Americans in the name of freedom.

16 oz can dated 9/26/18 poured into Ellipsis trophy glass.
Somewhat clear (light penetrating straight through) but still hazy, so relatively translucent . Head is a thin wispy 1/2 finger, white in color. Lacing connects to the head.
Aromas of peach and sweaty oranges, slight strawberry jam/goop, pineapple and dank stiff sweat.
Flavor is peach pit and dried apricot mainly - the fruitiness and bitterness of it captured well. Woody flavors as well, like chewing on a green twig, some wet paper, slight orange marmalade, apple, and grass.
Feel is crisp and carbonated but not juicy like NE IPA's should be. Slight acidity and resins at the finish.
Overall the words of the day are sub-average, dried apricot, and wood. After having a Transient beer immediately prior to this, this one falls flat completely. I wonder if the wet paper thing is due to oxidation or just a natural flavor of the beer. I'd like to try it again just to be sure, but this experience was quite below average for me.

Pours deep golden, some haze but not opaque. Rocky head of large bubbles.
Nose is tangerine, bubblegum, strawberry.
Taste is pineapple, mango, piney back end. Smooth finish with hoppy taste lingering.
Mouthfeel is creamy, soft bubbles but not super thick. Very pleasant.
Overall, it feels like there is a disparity between nose and taste. My first impression is that the nose is fruitier and softer, while the taste is more balance between bitter and sweet. Tasty beer nonetheless
