32 oz. crowler from the brewery.
Pours dark opaque orange with a feeble head of thin foam, that settles to a thin ring. Looks like carrot juice. My only gripe is the gritty film on the glass...
Aroma is fruit forward, natural apricot and peach take the lead.
Tart and fruity, like drinking carbed fruit purée. Lactic Berliner weisse sourness cuts through the fruit goop with a carbonic minerality. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Apricot peach smoothie, thankfully not overdosed on lactose. Not one for purists. Anvil & Forge seems to embrace this fruit smoothie style, with half a dozen varieties on draft.
