Notes of parbaked wholesome bread, and a gentle kiss of herbaceous hop spice.

Appearance: Brilliantly clear, straw gold. Fluffy white head with good retention. Fast rising bubbles.
Aroma: Doughy malt, herbal hops
Flavor: Grainy malt, spicy hops, restrained bitterness. Dry.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied. Short, crisp, clean and dry finish.
Overall: Solid representation of Helles style. A doughy malt and light herbal hops nose. I like the grainy malt note on the front end. Has light spicy/herbal hops note with restrained bitterness. Light bodied mostly. It does display an unusual but pleasant yeast character that I just cannot pin down - maybe currant or pepper? Finishes clean, crips and dry. Very good beer.

Picked up a six-pack of 11.5 oz bottles at the brewery 1-6-23 for $14. No bottling date, consumed for review 1-16-23.
Beer poured a clear pale gold with an okay white head.
Nose is bready with notes of herbal hops.
Taste is a bready malt base that is hopped nicely with a peppery hop. Finishes perfectly balanced.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and very crisp and clean. Definitely a great summer beer.
Overall another wonderful open fermented lager from Zillicoah. Definitely cannot go wrong with lagers here!

Had on tap. Clear golden body, two fingers of white head, crowned lacing abounds. Smell is malt forward with accents of honey and grassy hops. Taste is much the same, bready yeast is light and the hops are on the very end of the finish. Very smooth, moderately crisp, clean and well balanced. Good helles all the year long

Draft pour at the brewery in a dimpled mug. Beautiful bright yellow with nearly white head. Good head and lacing. The aroma and taste are sweet pale malt with a slight mineral aspect. Minimal to mild bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, very good, very clean Helles.
