Picked up a 19.2 oz crowler from the Woodfin brewpub 4-17-26 for $13.00. Stored in the wine cooler since purchase. Drinking at roughly 58 degrees.
Beer poured golden brown with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is nice, full of dark fruits and floral hops.
Taste is a large but light malt base that gives tons of raisins and prunes and some leather. Malts takes on the UK hops which are ample enough to balance this beast out leaving an EBW appropriate level of sweetness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall, a solid barleywine that i would have again. Not bad coming from a lager house where the brewers enjoy the open fermentation process and the departure from their stellar lager brews.
