16oz can served in a big snifter. Can came from a trade with @NorsemanOne. Can is dated 01/03/23.
Pours dark reddish-brown, almost a cola color, with a fairly small head. Smell is interesting -- strongly boozy and oaky, some wood and pine resin.
Taste is also surprisingly boozy, and it's surprisingly sweet, too. Sweetness reminds me of some English barleywines -- dates and raisins with a hint of toffee. Also some vanilla and oak. The piney bitterness is there, but it's kind of lost in the background.
Mouthfeel is medium leaning toward thin. Overall, it's not bad, but I'm not blown away.
