Had on tap at Sapwood Cellars in Columbus, MD
Appearance - Served up in a 13oz stemless, slight haze and golden orange in color. Mostly barren surface. A few small spots make up the lace.
SmellĀ - Apple cider, mild tartness and distant spice.
Taste - Follows the nose. Apple cider, mostly sweet with a touch of tart, and then a very distant Belgian funk and spice, but its gone in a flash. Sweet, near cloying apple finish.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with low carbonation. Slick texture makes this an easy enough drinker.
Overall - If you've ever wanted apple cider in beer form, this is it. I was hoping for more Belgian yeast character for balance, but alas.
