A draught pour in the brewery tap room.
Mahogany with an amber hue, some clarity, no head or lacing.
Dark roasted barley malt, rich caramel, dark brown caramelized sugar, weak hints of coffee, licorice, sassafras tea. Dark fruit, figs, dates, plums , raisins, dried currants come to mind as well.
Borderline cloying, and mouthfeel is close to being syrupy. Leaning towards being boozy.
Bitterness struggles to balance relative to the sweetness.
A complex beer for dessert time sipping enjoyment.

16 ounce can poured into a chalice.
L: Dark brown pour with chestnut highlights, 2” khaki head, spongy foam disappears completely after a few minutes.
S: Sour dark fruit, caramel and chocolate malt, sugary alcohol.
T: Candi sugars and chocolate malts, spicy yeast, fairly sweet and rich.
F: Medium body, moderate carbonation, warming, a touch tongue numbing.
O: Decent Quad.
