Pale Tart Ale with White Peaches and White Nectarines Added
Mike's grandfather Ed lived on Brettwood Rd for 60 years. In his garden he grew tomatoes, squash, peas, peaches, and even hops. Every year the squirrels would eat most of the unripened peaches though, resulting in an escalating war between gardner and bushy-tailed rats. That was enough to convince us to leave the hard work of growing fruit to someone else, our friends at Milburn Orchards (Elkton, MD).
We aged this mixed-ferment pale ale for eight months before macerating it on 1.5 lbs each white peaches and nectarines per gallon.
