Citra IPA – Name a more iconic duo than Citra and IPA.. I’ll wait. We brewed this new hazy IPA with Citra in the kettle, Citra in the dry hop, and double-concentrated Citra Cryo for a second dry hop. The result is luscious melon, citrus, and vanilla aromatics. Sort of like Rings of Light, but 50% more everything!

Pint can poured into a beer glass.
A yellow hazy pour with very good head retention and abundant lacing.
The forward flavor is bright, citrusy and sweet. The hoppy citrus/conifer finish knocks down the sweetness somewhat on the finish, and there is a little peppery bite, but the balance remains tipped toward sweetness.
A pleasant NEIPA with a 7.1% ABV

Beautiful delicious Citra IPA. Full of nicely wedded tropical fruit and melon with touches of citrus and rind bitterness. Spot on for Citra lovers like myself. Huge full pour with bright lemon yellow haze and no murkiness. Very big white head and excellent lacing, surface foam and halo. Stand out gorgeous. Nose was consistent with taste but a bit faint. Body was curiously complex. It was both smooth and full; perhaps too much for a normal IPA. And I love huge velvety brews especially Oated DIPAs. But because it was accompanied by a somewhat brusquely bright carbonation…it seemed conflicting, and the carbonation was almost too bright and distracting. Overall a very good Citra IPA. Very glad I tried, but the body just pulled too hard on the burning side mixed with a contrasting thickness that made it odd to drink.

Standard haze. Moderately aromatic with juicy citrus and tropical notes. Vibrant flavor nicely defines Citra's complex character: definitely citrusy but with ample notes of mango and melon welling up around the edges. Just a hint of resin burn in the finish.

A pretty solid, yet standard citra forward NEIPA. Good balance of the malts, yeast, juiciness and bitter from the hops. Aromic notes of papaya and mango as well. Enjoy!
