This stout began with a dose of bourbon-barrel-aged maple syrup, then we aged it in bourbon barrels that previously held maple syrup and vanilla extract. After blending the barrels, we added vanilla and more maple!

500 ml bottle split with a friend, poured into a snifter. Pours jet black with a thin tan head. Aroma and flavor offer a huge hit of maple, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, and dark roasted malts. It's sweet and chock full of maple but not quite over-the-top. Mouthfeel is slick and oily. Overall, it's definitely a maple bomb but in a good way.
