I can’t pinpoint anything bad but it wasn’t impressive. Standard mass produced beer color. Amber notes. Marzipan and nuts. Almonds maybe. But a little rough. I wouldn’t order again.

A can purchased at the brewery.
Pours a dark honey, almost amber color. Has a thin head and no lacing.
The caramel malt flavor is pleasant enough, with cracker and cereal notes. A little grainy with mild hops flavor and carbonation.
An easy drinker with a mild flavorful profile.

Poured from the can into a pokal style glass.
Real beautiful looking lager. Deep bronze orange, even red and brown with real nice clarity. Some hints of fine carbonation, and a slight off white head that starts out fine, and leads to bigger bubbles and light clumping. Capped at an easy three fingers, then simply settling nicely with a touch of cling, she looks excellent in this glass.
The aroma is no slouch either. Exceptional toasty notes, with faint touches of caramel. Threre is also real nice variety of light phenolic clove, maybe even a touch of grass, but the malt body goes from milk chocolate, crusted brown loaves of bread, crispy light toffee and caramel with ease. Clean sensing as well, but maybe a hint of heat coming off which is surprising.
Palate is a real winner. Big dry malt and more crusty dryness than excpected pulls the beer in a much enjoyable direction. Light toast and big hints of almost flakey charred brown bread. Touches cereal and toast with almost breakfast quality, and a jkiss of light milk chocolate. Very clean, but surprisingly dry nearly arid, higlighting bigger toast and almost char like sensations without the burnt flavor.
Really impressive Vienna lager.
