We selected Pinot Noir and Malbec barrels to age a massive sour red for more than a year. The result, aromas of plum and raisin, caramel flavor, with moderate acidity to balance. Dry, and surprisingly smooth for its heft. It is delicious now, but it will only improve with time.

5 oz wine glass pour on tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown/red with a smallish head. Aroma and flavor feature dark fruit, creme brulee, brown sugar, and a hint of red wine vinegar (similar to a Flanders red) along with leather, funk, vanilla, oak, plenty of tannins, and red wine. I'd be curious to see how it evolves over a couple/few years, but at $18/bottle I'm not going to be finding out.
