Vanilla Bean Triple IPA
When we opened we weren't expecting to have a budget line-item for vanilla... but we do now! We first created Vanillafort four years ago as a 10 gallon variant; that single keg of vanilla-bean-infused Pillowfort! This one amps up the intensity with a stronger-hoppier base and even more vanilla! We combined vanilla beans from Madagascar and Papua New Guinea for creamy-marshmallow-clouds layered on citrus and tropical hop aromatics.

Poured from 16oz can into a tulip. Canned 2/24/24; this batch is 9.2% ABV.
Appearance: light yellow hue with lots of haze and a thick head of dense, frothy ivory foam. I think it looks great!
Smell: sweet, with a combination of tropical hops and just a dash of vanilla. In this context, it gives the beer this odd kinda piƱa colada kind of aroma; I like it a lot, even though it is weird.
Taste: whoo vanilla! Sweet with a good tropical hop flavor and lots of vanilla indeed; maybe not quite a milkshake IPA but man we are getting there. I'm actually liking this more than I thought I would, but the sweetness and/or vanilla could be turned down just a notch for my taste.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and a nice creaminess.
Overall: yeah, huh, this is an interesting beer. I think the vanilla works because the hops are tropical in nature and, honestly, because it's so sweet. If you like milkshake IPAs or dessert beers in general, this might really appeal to you.

A Tavour Treat. Pours a hazy gold color with a foamy white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma has a hint of vanilla but not much else. Taste is sweet vanilla and tangy grapefuit. Good alcohol warmth and a slightly bitter finish.
