Pale Sour Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Blueberries, Raspberries, and Vanilla Beans Added.
This beer has one of our most intense fruiting rates thanks to freeze-concentrated wild blueberries and frozen raspberries. A touch of perceived sweetness comes from the bourbon barrel aging and addition of Madagascar vanilla beans.

I'm not a fan of the name, which makes me think of a Slushee/Icee/Big Gulp whatever. Regardless, other than the color (dark red/purple) this beer thankfully is not reminiscent of those drinks. It's very sour and fruity, with the vanilla taking a back seat to the berries. There is some oak barrel and tannins but almost no bourbon character. It's tasty but not very well-balanced IMO. The mouthfeel is puckering with a hint of astringency. All of that said, it's still a very good beer that narrowly misses out on the upper tier.
