We started this IPA off with barley, wheat, and quinoa! Quinoa has loads of protein, creating a luxurious mouthfeel! We gave it a hearty dry hop with Michigan Hydra, which brings passion-fruity aromatics. We pushed that aroma even more with a unique fermentation that created bubblegum notes. To temper all of that fruit, we added some dankness with Mosaic Cryo in the second dry hop dose!

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Feb 21st 2023.

Pale lemon body and solid, with a good opaque appearance. Manages some shine and not looking dull for a NEIPA. The head is bright and creamy flashing white colored, easily making three fingers with a real froth and creamy retention. Thick cling to the glass as well, solid looking brew.

Spicy hop forward aromatics, hinting a little bit of pine and a faint touch of leafy mint. Spicy earth wins out and dominates but stays away from dank hinting thickness. Minimal touching and indistinct fruit just barely. Solid aroma for an IPA.

Palate is quite unique and diverse. Light bodied but rich sensing mouthfeel, coupled with a good and varied flavor. Mid palate hits with a fruity exotic tangerine to passion fruit like sense. Large amounts of spicy like finish and bitterness on the swallow. Spiced pine and light sap flavors finish and also have a bit of minty aftertaste real nicely too. Dialed down dank but just a hint, with more sweet earth tones and orange as the beer tastes with repeated sips.

Quinoa? Who knew, who cares! More please!

Can dated 2/22/23 into pint glass. Pours a murky bright gold with a brief and minimal head. Spotty lacing. Initial impression is tropical fruits, blueberries, citrus, and maybe a touch of cinnamon. Mouthfeel is medium and clean. Prickly carbonation. Finish fades to a peppery bitterness. Overall, an enjoyable AIPA that's different enough to stand out from the crowd.

Draft pour into a stemless wine glass at the brewery.

L: Hazy yellow, not too drab, one finger white head, good retention, leaves lace.
S: Tropical, stone fruit, hint of grapefruit, little bit of cattiness, overall impression is fresh tropical fruit.
T: A little juicy, same as nose (tropical fruit, stone fruit) with some alcohol, moderately bitter, slight peppery finish.
F: Medium-full body, crisp with a creamy finish, the crisp bite lessens as the beer effervesces giving rise to the creaminess, a little chewy, goes down with a bit of warmth.
O: Good IPA, though somewhat light on flavor.
