Belgian Pale Ale – While Belgian Dubbels, Tripels, and Quads get most of the excitement, the humble Belgian Single (Patersbier) is often ignored. It’s pale, light, bright, and a little bit hoppy. We brewed ours with with Belgian Pilsner malt and Grungeist hops, for a clean base and slight tropical fruitiness to compliment the banana and bubblegum from the Belgian ale fermentation

Can into Nucleated Tulip (Canned 2/17/26)
Look: Lightly cloudy, golden body, pouring a half finger of frothy head which quickly dissipated to a frizzy thin ring around the glass
Smell: Light yeast, doughy-ish malt, banana, lemon, some clove. Med-weak strength
Taste: Biscuity malt, with some yeast flavor, barely ripe banana. Some light bitterness comes in from grassy hops. Bright lemon comes in on the backend here which slowly fades out into the finish mingling with malt and banana. Lingering malt with a walnut like taste
feel: Med-light bodied, generous carbonation, crisp bite
Overall: Great brew overall. First Belgium single I've tried but I like it. Reminds me a lot of a German Hefe mixed with a American pale ale and a pilsner

16 ounce can poured into a tulip.
L: Clear coppery orange, lively pour, 2 fingers of white loose foam, head is persistent and leaves sticky clumps of lace.
S: Yeast, clove, grainy malt, a slight lacrosse aroma is released when the glass is swirled.
T: Bubblegum, light banana, some grainy malt, spicy hops coming through later, low sweetness, restrained bitterness, overall sharp and dry.
F: Light body, crisp opening bite, softer middle feel with hints of creaminess, then the feel hardens again at the finish.
O: Well done. Refreshing, tasty and easy drinking. Leaves you wanting more.
