Pale Sour Ale Aged in Wine Barrels with Cherries
This series is our canvas for Mid-Atlantic fruit harvested during the annual growing season. This entry combines sweet Hartland cherries from Milburn Orchards (Elkton, MD) and sour cherries from Baugher's Orchard (Westminster, MD). For the base, we blended two barrels of pale sour aged 18 months in wine barrels. The result has a broad expression of cherry with a tart jammy flavor alongside herbal aromatics.
Brewed: 12/11/20 – Bottled: 8/31/22
Final pH: 3.23 – Cellar Up To: 3 years
Bottle Count: 648 – 1 Pint .9 fl oz/500 mL side 20/22)
