Pale Ale DDH w/ Citra and Hydra – Hydra has become one of our favorite newer varieties, so we wanted to try it with one of our older favorites, Citra! The bright tropical fruitiness of Hydra is tempered by the dank-citrusy notes of Citra. The base is a little brighter and lighter and crisper than our typical pale ales as a result of Pilsner malt (like our IPAs and DIPAs). Befuddlement was the original nickname for Hydra!

16 ounce can poured into a shaker style pint glass.
Canned 8/9/23
L: Hazy pale straw, 3 finger bone-white head, foam is a little loose but persistent and leaves sticky foam.
S: Strong nose, big Citra citrus aromas backed by a sweet bready aroma, some stone fruit picking up later in the glass.
T: Good citrus hop flavor, sweet to start finishes medium bitter, slightly peppery,
F: Light to medium body is soft, starts smooth and finishes crisp,
O: Very good hazy American Pale, nice summer beer, light and drinkable with enough body for a lush mouthfeel.
