Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned April 17th 2024.
Clear but not crystal with a pale brass yellow body, and lots of nice fine carbonation. Real classic bright soapy white head, with rocky retention, clinging to the sides three fingers tall easily with sheets and rings and trails of nice lacing.
Aroma is a bit heavy. High on fussels and booze, less on the hop quality. Light touches of citrus zest and more of a NEIPA like fruity juicy characcter behind some of the alcohol heat.
Palate is a big step up. Surprisingly light bodied for such high abv, and nearly clean like finish. Hits with hot heat with accentuates a good hop burn. Intensely bright with soft pine resin and more of an earthy than fruity flavor on the finish. Aftertaste manages some almost heating herbs, and sticky pine that easily coats on the finish, and only mild bitterness.
Somewhat controlled on the heat in taste, but really lacks the fruity character of a West Coast IPA. Still a very well controlled high ABV IPA.

can pour is clear, glowing yellow with a lingering thin head. Nose is piney resin. Flavor carries some sweetness, but still lots of hop bitterness. Finish hides the ABV well .

Super resiny, piney with juicy notes and nice chewy body. An absolutely amazing West Coast IPA. 10.4% alcohol is very well disguised, this beer drinks like a standard DIPA around 8-9% range. One of the best high octane West Coast IPAs
