We combined one of the original "C" hops (Chinook) with one of the more recent (Citra) for this snappy West Coast Pilsner! The clean lager fermentation allows the aroma of the hops to lead with notes of pine, orange, melon, and pineapple! It's the sort of hoppy beer we want to drink when the weather is warm: crisp drinkablility, bold hop aroma, and a fresh bready malt flavor.

16 ounce can poured into a Pilsner glass.
CANNED ON 5/16/24
L: Mostly clear (just a touch of haze) light yellow pour, effervescent, 3 finger white head fades to a bubbly cap in a minute or so leaving bits of clumpy lace.
S: Pineapple and piney aromas from the can, more melon-like after the pour, citrus notes as it warms, getting some stone fruit aroma from the second pour
T: The malt character is strong enough to add balance but the bread grain flavor is subtle, moderately bitter and fruity with IPA-like tropical hop flavors, piney/zesty hops sharpen the finish.
F: High carbonation, crisp up front and softens to the finish, medium-ish body, has a bit of tongue coating feel.
O: AIPA hop flavor with the clean lager profile, OK but I’m not a fan of the “hybridized” IPL approach.
