Sour Ale aged in Oak Barrels with Merlot and Cabernet Must.
This is a special beer that has been in the works for more than three years. The two barrels spent 30 months aging then six months refermenting on Merlot and Cabernet grape must. Finally extended bottle conditioning makes for a true hybrid of the flavors on mixed-ferment beer and red wine. The deeper vinous notes mingle with the mineral and hay notes from the Brettanomyces.
