Terra Strata Draft
Hazy IPA DDH with Strata® and Strata CGX™
In previous IPAs we've paired Strata with Citra, Riwaka, Hydra, Mosaic, Lotus... so for this one we decided to pair Strata with itself! Strata brings both citrus/berries while the concentrated CGX pellets bring herbal-dankness. The combination reminds us of Citra-Mosaic, with juicy strawberry and orange on the nose balanced by classic hoppiness on the palate!

Draft pour at the brewery, stemless wine glass.
L: Hazy orange-yellow, one inch white head, sticky foam with good retention, spotty lacing.
S: Fruit forward, berry, stone fruit and citrus.
T: Medium bitterness with light sweetness, getting melon rind and stone fruit more so than citrus and berry, pale malt ( flour-like) background, alcohol sharpens it a bit.
F: Smooth and creamy medium-weight body, moderately carbonated, edgy finish with some prickle.
O: Tasty smooth hazy, maybe an NEIPA, but I think it lacks the balancing sweetness that I associate with that style.
