You might call us out of touch for releasing an oatmeal stout in the middle of a hot Maryland summer... but this is a great beer for sitting around a bonfire, sipping while barbecuing (or eating barbecue), or just sitting in the A/C! We brewed it with two kinds of oats and two roasted malts for a richness and depth that bely its restrained strength!

16 ounce can poured into a nonic pint glass.

L: Clear dark brown, 2" medium brown head. fizzy foam fades to a thin collar in a couple of minutes.
S: Coffee, caramel, roasted malt.
T: Dark roasted malt, caramel sweetness keeps the bitterness in check, sharp finish, not acrid.
F: Medium-weight body, medium-high carbonation, thinner feel, small crisp finishing bite.
