A handful of hop varieties pack such appealing aromatics that brewing with them is like cheating. We named our ever-changing series of IPAs “Cheater Hops” in their honor. We are honest brewers, that’s why we can admit when we cheat!
This is not the B Team, it's the new A Team! Motueka lives in the shadow of Nelson Sauvin and Krush will always be the "new" Citra, but both of these hops bring unique-intense-tropical aromatics that can be more "pop" than their older sisters.

Pours a hazy straw-yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus zest, with a hint of dankness. Tastes of mango, pineapple, with a soft bitterness over a light malt base. Mouthfeel is pillowy and smooth, medium-bodied with a juicy, lingering finish.

Half pour at Sapwood taproom. Hazy yellow pour, bubbly ring. Faint fruity, citrusy aroma. Taste takes a zesty turn, light citrus peel, lemon, lime. Drinks like a session IPA.
