Pours a bright rose with a mild effervescence. Little to no head.

Sour cherry nose, light funk.

Bright. Mildly tart cherry. Montmorency to be sure. Subtle vanilla in the background. I’m even picking up a little cinnamon candy on the swallow. Oak.

Lighter body, lightly effervescent.

This is a top notch wild beer from one of the more consistent makers in the province. Would enjoy again without a doubt.

Delicious cherry fwd golden sour ale. Not really Kriek but a very good tart ale with dark cherry influences in color , nose and more so taste. Barrel influence is very notable but nicely complements rather than dominates the fruit and funk. Understand it took Silver at a national Canadian beer competition and can see why.

Bottle: Poured a clear pale reddish color ale with a medium size foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of fruity cherry notes with some sour notes and light oak presence is enjoyable. Taste is dominated by fruity cherry notes with subtle hints of residual sugar notes and tart notes with light acidic notes also perceptible which covers some of the more funky notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable sour with nice presence of cherry but sour notes are slightly too dominant which limits the depth and complexity.

A very funky blend, with significant cherry. Altogether not so integrated, and most did not want to share it. A decent wild beer to have, though perhaps not one to chase.
