A Red Sour Beer Aged in Oak Barrels With Ginger and Lime Leaves.
Rye malt in our red sour beer provided a subtly spicy foundation on which we layered fresh ginger and lime leaves. A pleasing aroma, a tart bite, and a lingering heat round out our homage to the classic Dark and Stormy.
Formally known as Storm Front

Poured a 473ml can into a tulip. A one finger fine tan head on a hazy dark amber red. The head diminishes to a fine layer. Lots of fine lacing.
Mild brett and lime in the nose. Ginger is apparent. Tastes of lime and ginger up front. Very clean flavours but somewhat overpowers any malt flavours. A long mildly tart finish. Some ginger and spice.
Medium light body with good carbonation. Overall an interesting moderately sour Wild Ale. Ads a play on the Dark and stormy cocktail it works quite well.

Some elements of flemish red, the ginger is moderate and almost masked by the barnyard funk. The lime only appears on the back. Wouldn’t want to drink too much but an interesting.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of tart notes with some subtle lime notes and ginger notes is quite pleasing. Taste is a mix of tart notes with some lime and ginger with almost no acidity notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable and better balance than other beers form this brewery.
