Appearance: Pitch black with a thin dark khaki head, plenty of lacing on the sides of the glass after some swirling.
Aroma: The adjuncts really pop here - cinnamon, cocoa, vanilla, and coffee.
Flavor: A more intense version of the nose - coffee, chocolate, and cinnamon dominate. Gentle vanilla throughout, and a touch of woody barrel. I absolutely love the coffee/cinnamon combo here. Everything's perfectly balanced yet popping out at your face.
Palate/Finish: Has a good thickness to it, oily and slick, goes down easy. The coffee and cinnamon coat the mouth after swallowing.
Overall: The best stout from Abridged, and in fact one of the better adjunct-heavy stouts I've had.
