Big carbonation, some gushing. Brown from marionberry, nice farm berry aroma. Easy mouthfeel, a bit seltzerish. Oh, yes buggy. West coast Eric thanks.

375ml corked/caged bottle served in a pair of tulips. It's difficult to read, but I think I have bottle number 477/586 (though the last seven could be a one or a phantom).
Pours clear pinkish amber, lots of head on the pour, retains a thick skin and a very thick ring. Smell is on the funky end, a little spicy, a little wet wood, definitely some berry fruitiness in the background.
Taste is also very oaky/vegetation funk heavy, with a bright berry note along the top. More earthy than tart, but some definitely tartness.
Mouthfeel is pretty light and very dry. Overall, very nice saison.

love the name and love the beer, the first of theirs ive had in a bottle so far, blend of young and old saison in oak on marionberries, just gorgeous stuff, the packaging and the pour are as sexy as the name, and this is instantly impressive. pretty backlit crimson color in the glass, almost wine-like, with a tall and airy bottle conditioned looking white head, belgian and high rising and lasting, pure and creamy as beaten egg whites. the nose on this is awesome, jammy and piquant, but with yeast in front of fruit for me, some green glass funk in the mix, a saison ester, white pepper and a subtle coriander seed hint, raspberry, cherry, and blackberry fruitiness in this, and definitely a red wine wrinkle, enough oak, and a sort of lambic funk and maturity, wonderful, not too acidic. the flavor follows, well evolved on the wild side but still saison to me too, nice funk, moderate tang, the berries resonate with the light bacterial element, and i taste marionberry specifically which is cool, not a generic berry thing, not another berry, but marionberry, that rules. definitely vinous, heavy red wine, even port wine to it, raspberry nuance, jelly, hard wheat, minerals, faint skunky character, iodine, lime, and wet wood. effervescent and soft feeling, dry for how fruity it is, expertly honed and refined, this makes me awfully excited about mirage, what a neat beer! hope to track this one down again, i am pretty high on their funky stuff right now, but this is my favorite so far...
