Picked up a 16 oz can from The Blue Door Bottleshop in Hendersonville on 12-8-22 for $5.00. No canning date; consumed 5-31-23. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured orange brown with a nice off white head that is leaving lacing behind.
Nose has light notes of spicy rye along with a touch of floral hops.
Taste is very nice, light rye malt base provides a delicious spicy rye pop with each sip. Finishes nicely balanced from ample hopping and a nice rye aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and both smooth and refreshing.
Overall a very enjoyable beer, probably the most rye forward beer i have ever had, delicious!

Appearance: Clear dark amber in appearance. Off white head. Good retention.
Aroma: Very subtle spicy, earthy notes.
Flavor: Spicy & herbal. Bready, toasty malt. Moderate to low bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Wonderful full bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation.
Overall: What an underrated, underappreciated style. It is easy drinking for such a full bodied beer. 60% Rye, with a blend of Cara malts. A very nuanced beer to appreciate.
