This Maerzen came out to be with a decent two finger thick, light tan head. The body is a picturesque dark golden amber color, and very well filtered.
The aromas were dominated by the malt, with sweet husky characteristics.
The taste was a toasted bread and sweet biscuty flavors.
This was very light on the palate and very refreshing to drink on a slightly brisk September evening. Even thought it is a little weak in alcohol content for a Maerzen, this is worth a try.
