400ml pour at the brewery.
Pours somewhat hay yellow, small head. Smell is grass nad lime zest with rising bread dough in the background. Taste is heavy on citrus rind, still strong grain and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium, smooth, just a bit of slickness. Overall, not bad.

Just Ok from Costco with a date of use by 04/24. Got this as a gift so I can not complain. If I bought this, I would be very disappointed. Most positive thing is the can is nice and colorful.

Appearance: slightly hazy gold in color with a beautiful and large white frothy foam stand with excellent retention.
Nose: soft and elegant white cracker and unbaked bread dough followed by a low earthy and forest floor hop aroma. Low lemon, low herbaceous hay hop aroma. Low fatty yeast aroma. Very complex!
Palate: medium carbonation, light bodied, medium alcohol, medium-low hop bitterness, dry, light intensity water cracker And bread dough malt flavor low spicy and earthy hop flavor, low hay and yeasty flavor And texture. Low DMS cooked corn character.
Very Good quality but room For minor improvements.

500mL can stamped EXP 2025/04 poured into a becher glass at fridge temp 5% ABV. The beer pours hefe-hazy yellow amber with nearly white head. The head recedes to an irregular ring and single layer of bubbles. Slight lacing. The aroma is mild with pils malt and very slight floral hops. The taste is semisweet pale malt with grassy and floral hop flavor. Moderate bitterness on the very back end. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Cleanly lagered. Overall, good beer, but really hazy for a pilsner.

Cloudy gold appearance with a lasting head
Medium bodied with about the same for carbonation.
Aroma is yeasty doughy bread and sweet cereal.
Taste follows the aroma except there's a hop bite that increases with intensity and lingers.
Overall very decent beer

12 Days of Christmas #5
Beer number 5 from Aldi Australia's 2023 Christmas Beer pack, courtesy of Kalea. I'm not doing these beers in order
Vessel: 500ml Pint can, best before March 2025. As with all the beers in this pack, a very colourful label a d this one has some fun colours and a black and white skull.
Appearance: Yellow-Orange, dark staw appearance with a thin 2cm bubbly head. Carbonation bubbles on the inside of the glass Nothing unexpected thus far. It's faintly hazy, less so than some of the other beers in the pack. Looks similar to a Pacific Pale Ale
Smell: White bread, yeast, very sour and bitter lemon, touch of grass. Smells like it has a bit more bite than the previous beers.
Taste: Does have a bit more bite It's light, citrus and lemon peel. Not overly sweet, but present malts. Throughout the mouthfeel there's a stone fruit element, ripe mango, or peach - which makes me think of a Pacific style pale ale.
Feel: It's light, well carbonated. Slightly on the watery side. It does feel like a Pacific ale rather than a traditional pilsner. But it's thirst quenching and very drinkable if it's hot and you're thirsty, today in Sydney was hot, and I am very thirsty.
Overall: it's not a mind blowing beer, but rather a good thirst quencher. I feel like the brewers have taken the good bits from a pilsner and a Pacific Ale and created a very refreshing summer style beer. Would drink again.

poured from a 500mL can into a new glarus dimpled mug. day 7 of the beer advent calendar. this one pours straw gold but settles in with a little bit of chill haze to it and just over two fingers of a sturdy white foam cap. light, bready malts and clean lager yeast on the nose. taste has a little more flavors of grains and earthy noble hops. has a mineral quality to it as well. very tasty. very drinkable. medium-full mouthfeel. well carbonated. i dig it!
