Had as part of a flight. Dark orange in color, with thin head. Slight aromas or citrus/pine and bready malt. Easy smooth feel. Taste is not too bitter, just enough of a bite for a pale ale.

Originally reviewed on August 14, 2006. On tap at the brewpub. Pour of hazed orange amber, with a fringe of light fold. Light aroma of pepperoni. Flavor is a meaty sour hop sugar. Very tart West Coast hops, not carried by body or alcohol. Touches of sloppy pork fat edges. Thin bodied with a touch of sweet orange and light grapefruit. Palate has a note of toast, but mostly grass.

Pale amber with a 1/2 inch white head and slight haze. Aroma is very light, just a kiss of hops. Pale malt is light, almost "macro" light and watery, that thin kind of bland malty note. Hops are just slightly bitter, not strong enough IMO, but ok in balance, even though the malt is too light too... Almost Pils or Helles like, but with a bit more flavor and american-tasting hops. Body is typical pale, nothin' special. All in all, very drinkable pale, nice after a short hike to the falls, but too light for my liking.
