A nice crisp malty lager that had the slight hop bitterness, mild spices, grass and lemon zest from the hops. Finished with some caramel sweetness and toasted grains.

From the can, it pours a clear straw yellow color with a modest white head, which soon diminishes to a thin ring. In the nose, it is light in scent and has a touch of floral hops. In the mouth, the same: light taste with a touch of citrus.

A good clean alternative to Nascar crap. My only issue is price for an AAL. Make a 12 pak and sell at a buck or two more than PBR. Still, a good craft AAL!

Now that I have started brewing for myself, I have a great appreciation for the lager...

Beautifully clear, light on head, the smell has a nice twinge of lemon that translates to the taste. Mouthfeel is only lightly carbonated adding to an overall experience that was definitely enjoyable.

Appearance: Clear, light straw, low head retention, low lace.

Aroma: fairly neutral, slightly sweet.

Flavor/Aftertaste: neutral.

mouthfeel: slight sweetness, very light body

I'm a big fan of New Realm and live close enough to get their draft fresh. So when this came out I had to try it. It is very different from their normal fare, surprisingly light and neutral. It was very fresh tasting, but it was so light that I requested draft samples of Bud Light & Coors Light for comparison (and had a fresh canned Bibo just cause). It was solidly in the middle of the Coors Light and Bud Light.

Considering the skills of these brewers this is exactly where they want it. The Bibo was much more full flavored and was more of a Czech Pils where the other three are prototypical American Light Lagers.

My impression is that there is not a lot of space in the craft sector for another crazy IPA, and there is a place for market share of a locally made American Light and this is it. It would be totally accessible to that market and on a blazing hot day (it was 90 degrees) it is neutral, refreshing and crushable. I had three pints to ensure I adapted to the beer - until I toured the Czech Republic I was a die hard IPA type.

If you're an American Light Lager aficionado you really should see if this is your new brand. (or if you are a more traditional craft type ale person who would read this forum, tell your friends).

Appearance: Clear, gold. Fluffy white head with good retention and fast rising bubbles.

Aroma: Floral & herbal hops. Grainy malt

Flavor & Aftertaste: Herbal & spicy flavors. Mild citrus. Restrained bitterness. Low sweetness.

Palate: Dry, medium carbonation. Crisp, medium length finish.

Overall: The quality of the beer is notable right out of the can. It pours a brilliant, clear pale gold color with fast rising bubbles that develop a fluffy white head exhibiting very good retention. Unlike most mass produced American Pilsners, you can actually smell the hops! You get some nice floral and herbal aromas from Hersbrucker and Hallertau hops with Lemondrop providing a hint of citrus. The malts provide a grainy aroma to the nose as well. Flavors are those nice spicy and herbal notes you come to recognize and love from Hersbrucker and Hallertau. A very restrained bitterness is just enough to balance a low/moderate sweetness in the malt. Flaked corn is adding in just enough quantity to soften the mouth-feel and round off a crisp, dry finish.

Poured a clear, yellow-gold body with good head and lace sheath down glass. Grainy, lager-type aroma with low-key hops and malts. Smooth, light, crisp, sweet floral hops with a bit of sweet maltiness that finishes dry and is a relaxing lager.

Rating this to style. From a 12 oz can into a pint.

Pours a golden straw color, perfect clarity. Massive amounts of bubbles rising to the top of the glass, frothy white head that lathers as the carbonation rises.

Smells of corn; bright hop notes and malt.

Taste follows with corn, malt upfront with a wonderful bouquet of hops on the back of the palate just enough to know they’re there. Lemondrop hops are most prevalent. Crisp, clean and refreshing. It’s not overly hopped as most craft lagers are nowadays. The balance in this beer is uncanny.

Probably one of my favorite beers from New Realm oddly.

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had faint grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bread yeast base. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
