Wild blueberries collide with this kettle soured wheat beer that’s as pleasing on the eyes as it is on the tongue. Whether you’re hanging at the beach or catching shade on the patio, our Blueberry Sour was made for summer on PEI.

473 mL can received in a trade - thanks, ewpass! Dated Nov 20 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy purplish colour, producing two fingers of puffy, foamy, light pink-tinged head that fizzles off over the next two minutes or so. A sudsy collar survives, with scant lace deposition - yep, it looks like a blueberry sour, and smells like one too. Fruity, authentic aroma - I'm getting blueberry yogurt and bready, wheaty malts, as well as hints of real blueberry juiciness.
Tasty stuff, a quality fruited sour for sure. Blueberry fruit, wheaty malts, blueberry yogurt and some lemony acidity on the back end; finishes tart, with moderate lactic sourness and blueberry juice fading into the aftertaste. Medium-light body with moderately prickly carbonation; feels juicy and quite smooth on the tongue, with fantastic drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.98, on the top end of a B+. Copper Bottom's Blueberry Sour is a bit of a one-note beer, i.e. it's all blueberry, all the time. However, since so much attention & care appears to have gone into that one facet - and more importantly, since they used real berries instead of an extract - the end result is a very satisfying blueberry beer. Just the right mix of tartness, sweetness and acidity; it's pretty much exactly what I want out of a kettle sour. Strongly recommended to any fan of blueberry beers - thank you ewpass!

Cloudy light purple with a thick even head. Light fruit nose. Sour body with lots of blueberry character and great carbonation. Very good!
