This is a wonderful beer if your looking to replace the trash they sell as Newcastle Brown Ale. This beer is lovely. Looks like it's currently a season option though. His is a true North England Brown Ale (slightly more hopped, no "nutty" Southern England taste). Newcastle was an adjunct, chemical beer but tasty. This beer is better than the original Newcastle - the new version of Newcastle is undrinkable. Choose this beer if you can get it. I bought a good bit and stashed it!
1/13/22 additional comments - great brown color, smell is in point for brown ale components, taste is superb - a tad more hopped and I taste very little "nutty" components, hence the reason I love it and consider it a North England Brown ale, mouthfeel is on point for a brown ale, wonderful beer - change nothing!

L: Had this beer on-tap at Kickin' Chicken - Mount Pleasant, poured into pint glass. Had a medium brown color and a hazy consistency. There was a 3/4", foamy, off white, somewhat long-lasting head. Very good lacing.
S: A so-so aroma of malt, a bready quality, the brown ale nuttiness, toffee / caramel, and chocolate.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of the typical brown ale nuttiness, lots of malt (the dominant ingredient), a hint of chocolate (needed more), and a tinge of toffee and caramel. The main issue with this flavor is that none of its ingredients really stand out. It's kind of thin and watery. Needed a little oomph.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a thin finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven brown ale. On the right track, but needs some work.
