Shimmering gold-amber with persistent, fuzzy wisps of swirling carbonation on the surface.
The first time I had this, I thought it would serve as a great regular and a smooth introductory sour, as it's not a boring kettle sour and has some barrel complexities while still being easy drinking, delivering notes of sour lemon and grapefruit with wild green-like aged hops and a hint of balsamic with red grape.
However, when it got to where they really wanted it to be, the complexity increased to an impressively perfect degree, bringing white pepper, white oak and white grape wine with a clean, light funk of hay and straw. Brighter accents of lemonade and herbal sour peach continue to explode on the effervescent palate before a nicely dry finish.
If they keep this up they will be the one to beat in Ohio.
